The Best Disney-Approved Strollers

We pride ourselves in being unbiased gear experts. Learn more about how we research, expertly review and curate products here.

For many families, the two Disney parks in the US — Disney World and Disneyland — are number one on their list of must-visit destinations (in the interest of the kids at least). If you’re one of the many families traveling to Disney this year, any seasoned parent will tell you that the right stroller should be at the very top of your vacation packing list. However, not all strollers are allowed at Walt Disney World. Both Disney parks and their associated theme parks have strict stroller policies and guidelines that all families must follow.

To help make your search easier, our gear experts compiled a list of the best Disney-approved strollers to take along with you.

1. Joovy Caboose UltraLight Double Stroller

Joovy Caboose UltraLight Stroller

  • Retail Price: $289.99
  • Amazon Price: $249.99
  • Avg. GoodBuy Gear Price: $237
  • Dimensions: 38 x 21.25 x 42 inches

Best for: Families with two mobile kiddos

The Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller is the perfect option for Disney theme parks if you have two kids in tow. The stroller not only adheres to Disney’s required dimensions, but it also weighs less than four pounds, making it exceptionally easy to travel with—especially if you’re flying to your destination. Still, the stroller is highly flexible. Infant car seats are compatible (parents with twins are out of luck—the stroller only fits one at a time) and an older child can sit or stand, since the stroller’s riding board comes complete with a bench that features a built-in safety harness. The stroller also has other essentials for any Disney vacation—a reclining seat for on-the-go naps, a sun shade with UPF protection, a snack tray with two drink holders, a large mesh storage basket and a washable parent organizer. It also comes with a rain cover you can pull over top in case the skies open up.

Pros

  • One of the lightest double strollers on the market
  • Packed with convenience features
  • Comes with a rain cover
  • Collapses flat for easy storage when not in use

Cons

  • Wheels aren’t as smooth and durable as some other options
  • Only accepts one car seat

2. Summer Infant 3D Lite Convenience Stroller

3D Lite Stroller for Disney

  • Retail Price: $99.99
  • Amazon Price: $99.99
  • Avg. GoodBuy Gear Price: $45
  • Dimensions: 40.5 x 10.2 x 8.5 inches

Best for: Parents who prioritize a compact stroller over bells and whistles

It may be ultra-compact and lightweight—the stroller folds up like, well, an umbrella and weighs just 13 pounds, making it super convenient for lugging around airports and theme parks. It comes at an enviable sub-$100 price tag, too.

And although it’s inherently not as well-equipped to handle rough pavement or grassy terrain, you’ll still have just about everything you need for the smooth walkways inside Disney World. The stroller has a padded, near-flat reclining seat for naps, a large, adjustable canopy and a large storage basket. It also folds swiftly and boasts a built-in carry strap for portability.

It’s tough to find an umbrella stroller that checks all the boxes—but the 3D Lite comes pretty close. It combines some impressive features with a price point of under a hundred bucks, making it one of our all-time favorite and most-recommended umbrella strollers.

Pros

  • Very lightweight stroller
  • Folds compactly and comes with a carry strap
  • Seat reclines to a near-flat position

Cons

  • Wheels aren’t great on rough pavement and other tougher terrain
  • Only fits one child

3. UPPAbaby Vista V2

UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller

  • Retail Price: $1,349.99
  • Amazon Price: $1,299
  • Avg. GoodBuy Gear Price: $912
  • Dimensions: 36 x 25.7 x 39.5 inches

Best for: Families who want a travel system for use beyond the Magic Kingdom

The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is an undeniably pricey stroller, but in terms of daily use, it’s one of the most popular options out there. So if your family is in the market for an everyday stroller—not just something to use while traveling to Disney World—this is a great buy.

It’s a sleek stroller, complete with leatherette handlebars, and is highly versatile for parents of more than one kiddo. The stroller can accommodate up to three kids at once—two seated and one on a riding board called the Piggyback. It’s also seamlessly compatible with the brand’s bassinet and car seats—they click right in and out without any adapters.

The stroller also has a lot of enviable features—a one-hand, one-step standing fold and plenty of storage space—as well as a whole host of compatible products like a parent caddy, a snack tray and a cup holder. The travel bag is also key to prevent damage, if you’re flying to Disney World.

Also worth noting: Though it is a heavier option, this travel stroller will have no trouble tackling nearly any terrain you put it on.

Pros

  • Accommodates up to three kiddos
  • Compatible with infant car seats without adapters
  • Maneuvers well on all terrain
  • Can purchase a dedicated travel bag

4. BOB Gear Revolution Flex 3.0

BOB Revolution Stroller for Disney

  • Retail Price: $549.99
  • Amazon Price: $549.99
  • Avg. GoodBuy Gear Price: $448
  • Dimensions: 45 x 24.5 x 43 inches

Best for: Families who want the smoothest ride and plenty of maneuverability

Jogging strollers that fall within the dimensions outlined by Disney are a great option for families (particularly those with one kiddo), because they provide a super smooth ride and are highly maneuverable.

The BOB Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 is among the most popular joggers, because of its state-of-the-art suspension and three durable air-filled tires. The Revolution Flex also has handlebars that can be adjusted to nine different positions, making it easier for both short and tall parents to get the right fit for all-day comfort in theme parks.

The stroller has plenty to keep your little one cozy, too: a five-point safety harness, a reclining seat, a large storage basket, six smaller storage pockets and an extended UPF 50+ canopy.

Unfortunately, the Revolution is relatively heavy and bulky (even when folded). It’s also not as easy to fold—you’ll need two hands.

Pros

  • All-terrain wheels and state-of-the-art suspension
  • Highly adjustable handlebars
  • Lots of storage space

Cons

  • Heavy and bulky, even when folded
  • More difficult to fold

Disney 2023 Stroller Rules and Policy

Baby in car seat stroller at Disney

Disney theme parks are always updating their rules and policies to provide a more enjoyable experience inside their resorts. The most important thing to note about the current stroller policy is that strollers larger than 31 inches (79 cm) wide and 52 inches (132cm) long are not permitted. Stroller wagons are also not permitted. The following park rules are worth noting, too:

  • Strollers are not allowed on escalators. Use of strollers is permitted on elevators and ramps, available at certain locations.
  • A child must be removed from his or her stroller while riding on a parking lot tram or monorail.
  • Do not leave personal belongings in an unattended stroller.
  • Strollers may be moved by a Cast Member due to operational needs.

What Strollers Are Not Allowed at Disney?

Stroller wagons (whether pushed or pulled) and strollers larger than 31 inches (79 cm) wide and 52 inches (132cm) long are not permitted inside Disney World, Disneyland, and other associated parks. Luckily, a handful of the most popular strollers—UPPAbaby Vista V2 and the Baby Jogger City Select 2—do fit the bill, but there are some notable stroller options that don’t comply with these policies, including:

  • Baby Jogger Summit x3
  • Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger
  • Baby Trend Navigator Lite Double
  • Baby Trend MUV 180
  • Joovy Big Caboose
  • Peg Perego Duette

FAQ

Does Disney Enforce Stroller Size?

If you’re hoping you might meet a nice employee willing to grant an exception, we have bad news to break: Disney strictly enforces its policies surrounding stroller size and the use of wagons. If your stroller does not meet their size requirements and you’re not in the market for a new stroller just for the trip, don’t sweat it: All Disney parks have stroller rental programs that allow you to rent approved strollers. You can always buy a gently used model through a retailer like GoodBuy Gear, too (wink, wink!).

Are Umbrella Strollers Allowed at Disney?

Yes, umbrella strollers are allowed at Disney theme parks. Many families with little ones opt for these types of strollers because they are easy to fold and lightweight.

Are Wagons Allowed at Disney World?

Wagons or stroller wagons may be super convenient for families of multiples and those with more than one kiddo, but unfortunately, wagons of any kind are not permitted at Disney World and its associated theme parks around the world.

Can I Bring My Stroller on Rides?

Strollers are not permitted inside of the attractions at Disney World resorts—there is stroller parking outside. Pro tip: If you have a little one who can’t yet walk, use a stroller that’s compatible with an infant car seat, since these items are allowed at most shows and on some slow-moving rides.

Planning ahead and being prepared with the right stroller can make your trip to Disney one to remember. Showing up with the wrong stroller can steal precious moments, since it’ll take you a fair amount of time to take your stroller back to your car or hotel if you’re turned away at the gates.

Thankfully, you have options. You can plan ahead, and purchase a Disney-approved stroller (buying second-hand will save you a ton!). Or, you can always take advantage of Disney’s stroller rental program—particularly for shorter trips, since the cost of a prolonged rental can quickly add up.
